Film
Few people realize Santa Barbara once enjoyed a reputation as the
film capital of the world. Not only were the first movies filmed
here, but the original “Hollywood”–-Flying A Studios--was located in
town and saw the production of hundreds of silent films. Today we
celebrate our rich cinematic history each March by hosting the
annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
